As a principal, Mr. Elwell is primarily focused on contracts, fee proposals, and the coordination of consultant services. He is responsible for soliciting fee proposals from specialty consultants and drafting agreements with those selected for each project. In addition, he monitors the progress of the firm’s projects and oversees billing. He prepares contract amendments when our clients request additional services beyond the scope of the original contract.

As the firm’s former Director of Production, he understands the ongoing task of manpower allocation and assists in the preparation and monitoring of workload projections. He provides ongoing support and consultation to individual Project Architects within the firm and works closely with the other principals and senior personnel in the overall management of the firm.

With more than 46 years in the architectural profession, serving in a number of capacities, Mr. Elwell has developed a thorough understanding of all aspects of practice. He plays a vital role in the successful management of both the firm's and its individual projects. His broad experience includes a significant number of municipal, hospitality, resort, condominium and entertainment projects.
