As President and founder of GSB, Inc., Mr. Smith leads the firm, guides the management team and supports the Project Architects throughout the life of each project. He is focused on business development, maintaining relationships with long-term, loyal clients and cultivating relationships with new and potential clients. His personal responsiveness to clients and his direct, hands-on involvement with their project is widely appreciated. When particularly difficult challenges arise during a project, he is at the forefront addressing the problem at hand and working tirelessly for a solution.
As the leader of the management team, Mr. Smith works closely with the Contract Administrator, Director of Revit Production, Director of Production, Director of Construction Contract Administration, Marketing Manager and the other Principals. He both directs and supports their efforts, capitalizing on his well-rounded expertise.
With 55 years of experience, including over 43 as a Principal, Mr. Smith has developed a far-reaching understanding of all aspects of the profession. His familiarity with the financial and legal facets of practice are indispensable. In addition, his extensive knowledge of building codes and relationships with local code officials continue to be valuable assets.
