Ritz-Carlton Monte Lago Village
Lake Las Vegas, Nevada
This $175 million luxury resort on Lake Las Vegas provides an escape from the neon world of the “Strip.” Patterned after Italian hill towns like Portofino, this complex sits on a hillside overlooking the lake with dramatic mountain views in every direction. The centerpiece of the development is the 374-room Ritz-Carlton Hotel, with its 26,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 17,500 square foot ballroom. One wing of the hotel spans the lake with several floors of guestrooms, recalling the Ponte Vecchio bridge in Florence. Other components of the 1.5 million square foot project include a parking structure, a 36,000 square foot spa, a 30,000 square foot casino, 820 condominiums, 55,000 square feet of office space, and over 144,000 square feet of retail shopping and restaurants. Many of these amenities are located along picturesque pedestrian streets, reinforcing the Old World model and giving this massive complex a comfortable, human scale. GSB, Inc. provided masterplanning, conceptual design, and entitlement documents for the development.
